About Mercor
Mercor is training models that predict how well someone will perform on a job better than a human can. Similar to how a human would review a resume, conduct an interview, and decide who to hire, we automate all of those processes with LLMs. Our technology is so effective it’s used by all of the top 5 AI labs.
We crossed a $100M revenue run rate and have averaged 59% month over month growth for the last 6 months, making us the fastest growing company in the world. The team is small and we remain extremely profitable because we can’t hire great people as fast as revenue is growing.
About the Role
As an Intelligent Identity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling Mercor’s identity and access management systems. You’ll help us transition from a fragmented, manually managed identity landscape to an automated, AI-driven system that enforces least privilege by default. This role is critical to enabling rapid growth while protecting our data, ensuring compliance, and streamlining access for employees, contractors, and partners.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations to build out and maintain centralized access controls, integrate with critical platforms like Okta, and pioneer AI-based automation for provisioning and deprovisioning.
What You’ll Do
-
Design and implement centralized identity systems that serve as a single source of truth for access control
-
Enforce least privilege principles by default across internal and external platforms
-
Integrate Okta with contractor identity workflows and critical applications
-
Develop automation for identity lifecycle management (onboarding, offboarding, role changes) using AI-driven workflows
-
Build scalable abstractions for internal platform identity and database access
-
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST) as identity systems evolve
-
Continuously evaluate and improve identity toolchains, policies, and enforcement mechanisms
-
Partner with customers to support external provisioning workflows to third-party apps
-
Stay ahead of emerging trends in identity management, IAM automation, and AI in access provisioning
Compensation
-
Base cash comp from $130K–$250K
-
Generous equity grant
-
Performance bonus
-
A $20K relocation bonus (if moving to the Bay Area)
-
A $10K housing bonus (if you live within 0.5 miles of our office)
-
A $1K monthly stipend for meals
-
Free Equinox membership
-
Health insurance
