Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Calve out calves during the calving season.
- Care for calves and nursing mothers. Vaccinate and treat sickness.
- Move cattle to and from summer grazing pastures.
- Prepare the ground and till the soil.
- Operate farming equipment in order to plant, spray, fertilize, harvest and haul grain and soybean crops.
- Bale and stack hay.
- Maintain and repair fencing.
- General farm maintenance duties such as servicing equipment, basic facility upkeep and shop work
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of six month verifiable experience required.
- Workers must be able to obtain their drivers license within 30-90 days of hire.
- Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
- Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs.
- No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
- All tools are provided by the employer.
- Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
- Due to the use of farm equipment and vehicles, all employees are required to complete a post-hire drug screening at the employer’s expense. Failure to pass drug screening will result in termination.
Wage: $12.69 per hour
3/4th guarantee apply – for detailed description, please require from employer
Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract
Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday
