Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers.
• Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery.
• Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers.
• Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions.
• Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery.
• Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines and irrigation equipment.
• Maintain farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions.
• Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools.
• Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels or pitchforks.
• Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust and spray crops.
• Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools or farm workers.
• Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines and to discard diseased or rotten products.
• Position boxes or attach bags at discharge ends of machinery to catch products, moving and closing full containers.
• Irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps.
• Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops.
• Till soil; plant and cultivate grain.
• Tow harvesting equipment Drive and operate self propelled combine.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of three months verifiable experience.
• Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30- 90 days of hire.
• Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
• Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs.
• Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment.
• Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment.
• Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment.
• Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in his sole discretion.
• No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
• All tools are provided by the employer.

Wage: $18.98 per hour

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract

Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday
