Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching and loading cattle.
• Examining animals to detect diseases, injuries and ensure that they are in optimal health.
• Assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides.
• Assist in herding animals to pastures for grazing or to scales, farm trucks or other enclosures
• Hauling feed from trailers to cows and calves.
• Use various farming equipment like tractors, feed wagon, payloader and skid loader
• Maintain winter animal housing areas; using diggers, shovels and other equipment needed
• Ongoing maintenance includes cleaning, inspecting, maintaining and repairing equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards as well as maintenance of fences.
• Segregating animals according to weight, age, color, and physical condition
• Marking livestock to identify ownership and grade using brands, tags, paint, or tattoos
• Mixing feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions
• Moving equipment, poultry, or livestock from one location to another manually or using farm trucks or carts

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• A minimum of three months verifiable experience is required.
• Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30-90 days of hire.
• Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
• Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 50lbs.
• Most work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to extreme cold temperatures and severe weather conditions like blizzards and snow.
• No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
• Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
• We enforce a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. Being under the influence or in possession of drugs or alcohol while on duty, at the worksite, or the employer provided housing, or employer equipment and/or vehicles will lead to immediate termination. Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment.
• All tools are provided by the employer.

Wage:  $20.02 per hour

3/4th guarantee apply – for detailed description, please require from employer

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract

Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday
