Rate: $17.84 per hour
We need seasonal employees to assist with our season starting in February until cattle are sold in December.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Making feed, feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching and loading cattle.
- Examining animals to detect diseases ,injuries and ensure that they are in optimal health.
- Assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations or insecticides.
- Assist with loading and offloading of cattle on or off trucks.
- Continuous inspection offences.
- General maintenance of fences and doing repairs where needed. General farm duties associated with cattle care.
Job Qualification and Requirements:
- A minimum of three (3) months of verifiable experience required.
- Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
- Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 50lbs.
- Most work is performed outdoors and workers will be exposed to extreme cold weather conditions like blizzards and snow.
- Workers must obtain a driver's license within 30 days after employment.
