Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools.
- Operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, irrigation equipment and other farm equipment.
- Engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities; fertilize, dust, and spray crops, spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers.
- Irrigate soil using portable pipes or ditch systems and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps. Install, maintain and repair pivot irrigation systems.
- Load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, forklifts, or transfer augers. Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks.
- Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, attach equipment extensions or accessories.
- Load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, complete maintenance and repairs on irrigation equipment.
- Record agricultural data. Drive farm trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools. Inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Assist with routine farm chores as needed.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of three months’ verifiable experience is required.
- Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30-90 days of hire.
- Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
- Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 75lbs.
- Most work is done outdoors and workers will be exposed to extreme warm temperatures.
- No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
- Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
- We enforce a zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. Being under the influence or in possession of drugs or alcohol while on duty, at SWA: State Workforce Agency (SWA) Selection the worksite, or the employer provided housing, or employer equipment and/or vehicles will lead to immediate termination. Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment.

Wage: $19.26 per hour

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract
Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday
