Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Workers must operate equipment like sprayers, tillers, planters, drillers, mowers, 4-wheelers,cultivators, grain carts, tractors, pickups with and without trailers, payloaders, and skid loaders.
- Spray chemicals, pesticides and fertilizer on fields.
- Service and do minimal repairs on irrigation pivots and wells
- Assist with servicing and maintenance on vehicles and equipment - duties like oil changes, adding wiper, antifreeze and brake fluids, tire changes, standard vehicle repairs (headlights, brake lights, mirror replacements).
- Assist with cleaning of farm workshops - duties like cleaning of tools and putting them away,
sweeping, putting supplies such as filters, break cleaner on their correct storage places, and remove trash.
- Cleaning of break room and restroom.
- Complete general farm duties as assigned.
- Operate pickups in accordance with State and Federal Law.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of three months verifiable experience is required.
- Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30-90 days of hire.
- Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
- Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 50lbs or more - workers will need to be able to hook up and unhook trailers from trucks or semis.
- Must be able to run Case and John Deere equipment.
- Must be able to communicate in English, and must be able to follow instructions and communicate with others effectively.
- Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions and sometimes severe weather conditions like thunderstorms and tornadoes.
- No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
- The employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background.
- Per state regulations, employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving is required.
- Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
- All tools are provided by the employer.
Wage:$19.26 per hour
3/4th guarantee apply – for detailed description, please require from employer
Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract. Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday.
