Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops.
- Attach farm implements, such as planter, disc, and drill to tractor.
- Till soil, plant and cultivate grain.
- Tow harvesting equipment.
- Drive and operate self-propelled combine, swather, baler and rake.
- Maintenance of machinery and equipment – this includes duties such as lubricating and repairing farm machinery.
- Operate scale to weigh commodities that are harvested.
- Record and organize commodity tickets.
- Crops: corn, hay rye and soybeans
Job qualifications and requirements
- Minimum of three months verifiable experience is required.
- Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30-90 days of hire.
- Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
- Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs.
- Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions
- No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
- Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
- Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment.
- All tools are provided by the employer.
Rate: $19.26 per hour
3/4th guarantee apply – for detailed description, please require from employer
Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract
Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday
