Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Hauling of harvested crops from fields to storage areas.
- Hauling of crops to and from various locations.
- Daily maintenance and simple repairs of semi-truck and trailers.
- Record keeping of distances traveled and freight deliveries.
- Uphold employer’s commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Workers must have a valid Class A CDL.
- Clean driving record.
- Minimum of 12 months’ semi-truck and trailer driving experience.
- Workers might sit extensively due to driving for long periods.
- Loading and off-loading of freight will require workers to push and pull extensively.
- Workers will be required to lift tools, equipment and freight that weigh up to 60lbs.
- Workers will be exposed to extreme hot and humid temperatures and severe weather conditions like heavy rain, hail and thunderstorms and sometimes tornadoes.
- Workers must have good communication skills and the ability to work with team members and external customers.
- No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
- All tools are provided by the employer.
Wage: $19.62 per hour
3/4th guarantee apply – for detailed description, please require from employer
Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract. Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday.
