Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Performing of general livestock tasks: feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching and loading animals.
- Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries – assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations, and or insecticides.
- Maintaining winter animal housing areas – using diggers, shovels and other equipment needed.
- Weighing trucks
- Assist maintenance of grain bins and general maintenance of buildings, using lawn mower, weed cutter, small outdoor equipment, and hand tools.
- Maintaining records, as required by inhouse management.
Job qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum of three months verifiable experience.
- Workers must be able to obtain their drivers license within 30- 90 days of hire.
- Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
- Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs.
- Most work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to extreme cold temperatures.
- No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
- All tools are provided by the employer.
Rate: $19.21 per hour
3/4th guarantee apply – for detailed description, please require from employer.
Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract.
Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday.
