Job duties include but is not limited to:
- Operate farm machinery to till, plant, spray, irrigate and harvest crops.
- Maintain and service (wash, lubricate, repair) equipment and vehicles in the farm shop.
- Mow field borders and lots.
- Clean, maintain and repair farm buildings and grounds.
- Drive semi-trailer trucks to transport grain to elevators.
- Rogue and spray weeds.
- Install and operate furrow and flood irrigation systems in rice and soybeans.
Job qualifications and requirements
- A minimum of 3 months verifiable experience is required.
- Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30-90 days of hire.
- Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
- Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs.
- Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions
- Due to the liability of operating big expensive farming machinery a drug screening test will be required post-hire at the employer's expense. Failure to pass a drug test will result in termination of employment with our company.
- No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
- Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
- All tools are provided by the employer.
Applicants must please note: The entire farm, including farm housing, is a smoke-free environment. Alcohol and drugs are not permitted anywhere on the farm or in farm housing. Due to the liability of driving semi-trucks on roads and operating big expensive farming machinery a drug screening test will be required post-hire at the employer's expense. The Workers Compensation insurance policy requires drug testing in the event of an injury. Failure to pass a drug test will result in termination of employment with our company.
Rate: $16.18 per hour
3/4th guarantee apply – for detailed description, please require from employer
Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract.
Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday
