Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Drive and operate farm equipment and machinery equipped with GPS for cultivating, tilling, fertilizing, planting, and harvesting grain and oilseed crops.
• Attach farm implements such as plow, disc and drill to tractor.
• Till the soil, rock picking; plant and cultivate grain.
• Tow harvesting equipment.
• Drive and operate self-propelled combine.
• Manual labor, drain excess water from crops, assisting with irrigation of crops.
• Put crops in bins as well as remove grain.
• Drive grain trucks to transport crops to the elevator or storage area.
• Chop weeds.
• General lubrication, service (check fluids) and perform incidental repairs to farm machinery.
• Maintain and clean agricultural building and yards.

Job qualifications and requirements:

• Minimum of three months verifiable experience.
• Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30- 90 days of hire.
• Must know GPS guidance.
• Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
• Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs.
• Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions and sometimes severe weather conditions like thunderstorms and tornadoes.
• No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
• Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
• All tools are provided by the employer.

Applicants must note that the entire farm has a zero-alcohol tolerance policy. Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, inside of all vehicles, around farm machinery, equipment and inside housing.

Wage:  $16.18 per hour

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract. Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday.
