Job duties include but is not limited to:

• Workers are required to work in all fields (cotton, soybeans corn, sweet potatoes and watermelons).
• Chop weeds with hoe or remove it by hand.
• Plant and harvest crops.
• Load crates of sweet potatoes on to trucks with a forklift and make sure that they are properly tied down for hauling from the field to the warehouse.
• Clean and maintain all equipment, farm equipment, trucks and farm buildings.
• Operating all farm equipment (tractors combines, cotton pickers, sprayers).
• Workers will be expected to work in all weather conditions.

Job qualifications and requirements

• Minimum of three months verifiable experience.
• Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30- 90 days of hire.
• Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
• Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 75lbs.
• Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions
• No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
• Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
• We enforce a zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. Being under the influence or in possession of drugs or alcohol while on duty, at the worksite, or the employer provided housing, or employer equipment and/or vehicles will lead to immediate termination. Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment.

Wage:  $16.18 per hour

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract. Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday.
