Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store crops.
• Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill tractor.
• Till the soil, rock picking, plant and cultivate grain.
• Tow harvesting equipment.
• Drive and operate self-propelled combine.
• Manual labor, draining excess water from crops, assists in irrigation of crops.
• Put crops in bins as well as remove grain.
• Chop weeds.
• General lubrication, service (check fluids), and perform incidental repairs to farm machinery.
• Maintain and clean agricultural buildings and yards.

Job qualifications and requirements:

• Minimum of two months verifiable experience is required.
• Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30-90 days of hire.
• Must know GPS guidance. Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
• Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs.
• Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions and sometimes severe weather conditions like thunderstorms and tornadoes.
• No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
• Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
• All tools are provided by the employer.
• Due to the presence of children on the farm and the liability of operating expensive machinery, a drug screening and/or criminal background check will be required post-hire at the expense of the employer. Positive testing will result in termination of contract.

Wage:  $13.40 per hour

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract. Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday.
