Job duties include but is not limited to:

• Move grain to grain bins using tractor with grain cart and farm grain truck.
• Assist with grain bin daily tasks – check moisture, temperature, and proper function.
• Handle equipment like fans, heaters, stir augers –switching it on/off and move from one bin to another.
• Maintain grain bin system area to be clean, all spills picked up and processed.
• Maintain any breaks or leaks with the grain bin system.
• Weekly lube of the grain bin system. Check the grain bin system after each weather event.
• Clean bin floor once it is low – insert equipment to clean the floor (sweep auger).
• Use scoops and push brooms to move grain to the auger.
• Assist with loading of grain haul trucks and trailers.
• General maintenance of equipment and farm buildings.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• A minimum of two months verifiable experience is required.
• Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30-90 days of hire.
• Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
• Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs.
• Most work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to extreme cold temperatures.
• No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
• Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
• We enforce a zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. Being under the influence or in possession of drugs or alcohol while on duty, at the worksite, or the employer provided housing, or employer equipment and/or vehicles will lead to immediate termination.
• Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment.
• All tools are provided by the employer.

Wage:  $13.95 per hour

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract. Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday.
