It is important to note this job is commission based it is not hourly, but it did not give me that option. Commission is 60% for nail techs and 40% for the salon. You can average anywhere from $16 to $25 an hour but remember we do not pay hourly it is commission based. We also have booth rentals for $20 a day

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and attention to detail

Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail treatments or enhancements

Maintain strict sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and workstations to ensure client safety and hygiene compliance

Stay current on the latest nail trends, techniques, and products to provide innovative services that delight clients

Upsell additional services such as hand or foot massages, cuticle treatments, or retail nail products to enhance client experience and increase sales

Build strong relationships through excellent communication skills, ensuring clients feel valued and understood during every visit

Manage retail sales of nail care products, cosmetics, and accessories while demonstrating effective retail math skills to meet sales goals

Requirements

Valid cosmetology, manicurist or esthetician license with specialized training in nail care from an accredited program

Proven experience performing professional nail services with a portfolio of creative designs preferred

Knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting complementary shades and designs

Strong understanding of sanitation practices and OSHA regulations for safe salon operations

Familiarity with advanced treatments such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair threading, dermabrasion, and esthetic laser treatments is a plus

Ability to communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations

Skills in retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities
