Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Drive and operate farm machinery to till, plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store crops.
  • Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil.
  • Mix material, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery.
  • Recording information about crops such as pesticide use, yields or costs.
  • Inform farm managers of crop progress
  • Till soil, plant and cultivate grain.
  • Tow harvesting equipment.
  • Drive and operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, wheat, hay.
  • Manual labor, drain excess water from crops, assist with irrigation of crops.
  • Assist with the inspection, grading, sorting, storage and postharvest treatment of crops.
  • Put crops in bins as well as remove grain.
  • Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities.
  • Install, maintain, repair and operate center pivot irrigation equipment.
  • Drive and maintain crop sprayers
  • General lubrication, service (check fluids) and perform incidental repairs to farm machinery.
  • Maintain and clean agricultural buildings, yards, farm vehicles, implements and mechanical equipment.
  • Attach farm implements such as hand tools.
  • Assist with pest control (trap and destroy pests such as moles, gophers and mice.)
  • Maintain inventory Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer and drive to market or storage facilities.
  • Complete routine repairs and maintenance on farm machines and equipment.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A minimum of two months verifiable experience is required.
  • Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30-90 days of hire.
  • Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
  • Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 50lbs.
  • Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions.
  • No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
  • Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
  • Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination.
  • Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background. Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment.
  • All tools are provided by the employer.

Wage:  $19.26 per hour

3/4th guarantee apply – for detailed description, please require from employer

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract

Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday
