Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Operate machinery to assist with cutting and drying the hay – machinery like mowers, rake and tedder
• Use balers to package hay for storage and transportation
• Maintaining and repairing machinery used in hay production
• Maintaining irrigation systems and assist with irrigation of crop
• Moving hay bales
• Cleaning of equipment
• Assist with caretaking and handling of cattle Assist with feeding of cattle
• Other equipment and machinery that is used: skid loader and attachments, tractor, baler, swathe and hand tools

Job Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of three months verifiable experience is required.
• Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30-90 days of hire.
• Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
• Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 75lbs.
• Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions.
• No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
• Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.  Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
• We enforce a zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. Being under the influence or in possession of drugs or alcohol while on duty, at the worksite, or the employer provided housing, or employer equipment and/or vehicles will lead to immediate termination.
• Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment.
• All tools are provided by the employer.

Wage:  $12.69 per hour

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract. Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday.
