Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Till soil, plant and cultivate grain.
• Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops.
• Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust and spray crops.
• Workers will be required to operate equipment which includes tractors with numerous types of implements attached such as sprayers, loaders, combines, semi-trucks and swathers.
• Some equipment utilizes GPS, auto-guidance systems and precision application.
• Assist with irrigation - irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps.
• Assist with maintenance and service of irrigation equipment.
• Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers.
• Observe and listen to machinery operations to detect equipment malfunctions.
• Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural productions, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment.
• Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions.
• Drive farm truck to haul crops, tools, and supplies.
• Keep record of information on provided forms regarding fuel, use and mileage.
• Harvesting of crops. Crops: Soybeans, silage and corn

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• A minimum of two months verifiable experience is required.
• Workers must be able to obtain their driver’s license within 30-90 days of hire.
• Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
• Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs.
•  Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions.
• No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
• Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.

Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment. All tools are provided by the employer

Wage: $12.69 per hour

3/4th guarantee apply – for detailed description, please require from employer

Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence to worksite – 50% upon arrival and 50% at completion of work contract

Housing will be provided should you not be able to return home at the end of each workday
