Job description
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions. This role involves managing various aspects of payroll, including calculating wages, taxes, deductions, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll for up to 700+ employees over multiple locations for weekly, biweekly, and semi-monthly payroll cycles.
- Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness.
- Process payroll adjustments, such as retroactive pay, overtime, and special payments.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and other related matters.
- Assist with various projects related to payroll.
Record Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
- Maintain company confidentiality within payroll and payroll laws.
Compliance:
- Stay informed about changes and updates in labor laws, regulations, and industry standards related to payroll.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in processing large payrolls in multiple locations.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
- Ability to calculate and process employee salaries, hourly rates, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation accurately.
- Familiarity with wage withholding orders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong experience with ADP payroll.
